Three-year-old Alisha Smiley was last seen on June 6, 1985 in Atlanta, Georgia. She and her cousin were sitting on a bench outside the Omni International Hotel on Techwood Drive around 2:00pm while Alisha's aunt, Estella Evans went to get wrestling tickets a short distance away. When Estella returned, Alisha was gone.
It's possible that Alisha may have walked to a nearby McDonald's restaurant shortly after Estella left to get the tickets. An extensive search of the area where Alisha was showed no clues to where she could be.
Alisha was living with Estella Evans and her family periodically since she was born because her parents were unable to support her financially. She lived with the Evans family for 8 months prior to her disappearance.
Authorities received a tip that she may have been taken to the Lakewood Fairgrounds shortly after she disappeared, but no evidence was available at the scene. Her aunt describes Alisha as an extremely friendly, trusting toddler.
